In summer and winter, a whiteness persists at the summit of Mont Ventoux. This giant is our Provençal Mount Fuji. At its feet, the countless water springs that emerge from here and there flow silently. Some are known: the Vaucluse fountain or the Groseau spring. Joël-Claude Meffre, poet and archaeologist, and Ji Dahai, painter-calligrapher, visited about twenty of them in one year. Ji Dahai, tracing in ink and brush in his notebooks, on the spot, each of these emergences. Joël-Claude Meffre, looking for the word that listens in the sources of his words. It was in Brantes, after the last visit, that the word resurgence became a key. Other inks by Ji Dahai take us to the Mediterranean and Haute Provence.
